Face to face with Santa
Child:For Christmas, I want a puppy, a small one. Is that okay?
Santa:A puppy is a big wish, my dear. That one belongs with your mum and dad too.
Child:Good. I promise, um, Santa. Uh, I love you.
Santa:I love you too, Emily. That is a very dear thing to say.
A Santa AI video call, recorded for this demo. The child on screen is a virtual character with voiced lines; Santa answers live.
Your three options
| Type | What it is | Good | Not so good |
|---|---|---|---|
| ★ Our pickLive AI Santa — like our Santa AI video call | Santa on screen, generated live, who hears your child and answers | Available any time, even at 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve; knows details you give him | Santa is AI — some families prefer a human |
| Live human Santa | A real person in a Santa suit on a video link, booked for a time slot | The most traditional experience; a real person reacts | Needs booking; slots fill up in December; usually the priciest |
| Recorded personalized video | A pre-made video with your child's name and photo edited in | Cheap, easy to share with grandparents | Not a conversation; your child can't ask anything |
How our video call works

Santa AI is our product, so here is exactly what happens:
- 1
You enter your child's first name, age, town and a couple of things Santa "just knows" — the puppy's name, the swimming badge, the new sibling.
- 2
You choose 2, 3 or 5 minutes and open the call link on any phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone.
- 3
Santa appears on screen and talks with your child face to face, answering whatever they say and weaving in the details you gave him.
- 4
You keep a recording of the call. If it ends early, the remaining minutes stay on your account.
It runs in the browser — Safari, Chrome and others — so there's nothing to install and no FaceTime or Apple ID involved.
Getting the call right
- Test the camera and microphone a few minutes before; the page checks both right before Santa calls.
- Hold the device at your child's eye level — a phone on a stack of books works well.
- Good light on your child's face, a quiet room, and the volume up.
- Three minutes is the sweet spot for most 4–7-year-olds. Two for toddlers, five for chatty older kids and siblings together.
About the word "FaceTime"
Parents search for "FaceTime Santa" because that's how most families make video calls. FaceTime is Apple's app, and no Santa service runs through it — they all use their own video link that works the same way. FaceTime is a trademark of Apple Inc.; we're not affiliated with Apple.

Questions parents ask
Is there a free video call with Santa?
Live video calls cost money because someone — an actor or a server — has to run them. Free options are recorded videos and Santa trackers. You can watch a full demo of our video call on this page for free before deciding.
Can my child see Santa and Santa see my child?
Your child sees Santa on screen and talks with him face to face. The call needs your camera and microphone switched on.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It runs in the browser on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and computers.
How is this different from a personalized Santa video?
A personalized video is recorded before your child watches it. A video call is live: your child can ask Santa anything and he answers.
